This book is about a boy named August who was born different. By different I mean he has a condition that makes him look different than other kids. His condition is called mandibulofacial dysostosis. Its more commonly known as Treacher Collins Syndrome. It is a condition that affects that development of bones and other tissues in the face. Life has been hard on August everyone that sees him looks at him as extraordinary not a normal person. All except the friends he makes as he goes to school for the first time in his life. But he ends up loving it and having so much fun too.
