"The Lightning Thief", is an impressive book written by Rick Riordan. Percy finds out that he is a half-blood, the Son of Poseidon. Percy ends up going to Camp Half-Blood, where he is given the quest to get the Lightning Bolt from whomever took it. Before Percy went to go on his quest, Luke, a friend of his, gave him a shield. Percy believed that Hades, Percy's uncle, took it because he was the god of the Underworld, so him, Annabeth, and Grover went to confront him. As soon as they went down to the Underworld, Hades is confronted but says it is not true. Percy then dropped his sword and the Lightning Bolt is behind it. Luke had tricked the three of them and turned against good. Persephone, Hades' wife, comes to save them and gives them the bolt back. After, they return the bolt to Zeus and everything went back to normal, until when they returned to camp. Luke comes to try to kill Percy with a deadly scorpion. Luckily, percy drinks the nectar and then tells the others about Luke and how he is going to bring Kronos back to life.
