By Tim Green
I liked the book Rivals by Tim Green because it is a very funny book. I would grade it a 10/10 book because it is a mixture of sports and a little bit of friendship a bit of mystery. I like sports and mystery books combined. Friendship is what all books should have. So this was the book for me. It talks about about a boy named Josh with two friends, Jaden who is a girl, and Ludo who is a boy. The Josh and his friend Benji are on the same baseball team. And Jaden is a reporter. They make it to the most important Little League Tournament. Josh is their best player. Then Jaden is exciting because she is going to write about this as the next big thing. Then Jaden falls in love with this other player on the other team. His name is Mickey Jr., the son of one of the best baseball player Mickey Mullen. Then they are very famous and everyone is talking about them. Jaden was so impressed with Josh, she was like Josh’s girlfriend. And Josh liked her a lot too. Now Micky Jr. is Jaden’s knew boyfriend. Jaden know works for another team. Benji is trying to help Josh beat Micky Jr.,then they are both in the final. Jaden is with both Josh and Micky Jr. Josh is up next, he could win the game. Micky Jr. throws a pitch and Josh hits a home-run. Micky Mullen was mad at his son because it looks like he wanted his son to injure him, and Micky Jr. said no. And in the other games they won it looks like Micky Mullen was paying the same umpire every time. And Jaden, Josh, and Benji found out and captured a photo and showed it. They fired that umpire and got a new one. And after that Jaden was back happily with Josh and Benji. That is the summary of the book and the reason why I grade it 10/10. Friendship like this is what a book should have it it’s a book for me.
